One of my favorite makers in the DMV is The Neighborgoods founded by the very creative designer Jodi Kostelnik. When I opened The Cookery in Shirlington back in 2011, Jodi was beginning her new business featuring bold, whimsical, colorful kitchen textiles. I was smitten at first glance and became one of her first stockists. It has been such a delight watching her business grow. I closed The Cookery in 2022, but Jodi and I have kept in touch. When she asked me to be a guest blogger for The Neighborgoods, my answer was swift. Our first published piece focused on her newest design and my favorite subject - Olives. How perfect.
